Our big boy started Kindergarten on the 28th (which also happened to be Kyle's birthday----happy birthday, babe!). Hayes was so excited to start and has been counting down the days for months! Here he is with his new backpack:
When he grows up, he wants to be a DADDY!!! Isn't that the sweetest thing you've ever heard? What a great testament to the man he looks up to most and what a great birthday present for Kyle.
When it was time to get on the bus at daycare, he hopped right on without hesitation, after I slowed him down for a second so I could get a picture:
The little guy wouldn't even wave to me---he was so concerned about where he and his friends were sitting. It made me sad and proud at the same time to see how much of a big boy he's become.

Hayes loves his teacher, Mrs. Low, and has enjoyed his first few days of school. He came home on the first day and said his first day was "AWESOME!!!" Let's hope his enthusiasm for school continues!
