We are quite the jet-set family lately. We flew to Wisconsin to attend my cousin Kristin's wedding. She got married in Madison, which is where I did my residency. It is also where I met my very good friend Patty. She and her husband and three kids live on this gorgeous lake in Oconomowoc, WI. The wedding was the perfect opportunity to see family at the ceremony/reception and visit with Patty and her family. Here is Campbell on a deer statue in their backyard for her monthly picture:
Me and Patty. She is such a great friend, and the best person that understands what my life is like and that I can bounce ideas off of. She has three kids and owns her own dental practice!
Did I mention that Patty and Brad have the best backyard EVER? They have a huge, grassy, shaded lot that is on a lake. The kids weren't too into swimming, but spent tons of time playing in the yard and on the dock:
Patty and Brad have this great island in their kitchen, perfect to fit tons of guests and kids:
And Brad has slowly collected enough wagon parts to fit his three kids and two more visitors, whether they be their cousins or Hayes and Fisher. What a perfect way to transport kids to the local park!
Here is Brad reading a bedtime story to all the kids (except Campbell) while they ate ice cream for dessert. Patty and Brad call this "snacky-bookey time:"
Here is a blurry cell phone picture of mine while I tried to zoom in on my cousin Kristen as she weds her college sweetheart, Alex. Kristin looked absolutely gorgeous!
Playing at a local playground around the corner from Patty and Brad's house:Hayes and Berkley, who is also 5 and starting Kindergarten soon as well:
Geneva, who is 4, and her mischievously sweet smile says a lot about her personality:
Sooooo sleepy:
OK, so not only do they live on a lake with the best backyard and parks nearby, but they have a jungle gym IN THEIR PLAYROOM! It is a great place to burn energy and has bean bags galore to cushion any falls:
Kyle and I before leaving for the wedding. Patty and Brad are saints and kept our three kids as well as their own (that's 6 kids aged five and under) while we went to the wedding. Thank you, Patty and Brad!
Some of the fun while we were gone:
Brad hitches the wagon up to the lawn mower. And this time, Campbell got to ride! I don't know who has more fun, Brad or the kids!
Ha, this looks like Fisher and Geneva are on a date! They sat in the Caddy for a while just listening to music together:
Kyle relaxing with Fisher and Finley (who will be 3 in a few days):
Mom and Dad flew into WI for the wedding, where Kyle and I saw them. But Patty and Brad were gracious hosts and invited them over on the morning we left to see their grandkids. Here is a picnic lunch out by the lake:Nana Judy with Hayes and Berkley:
My Aunt Nancy came too. She is always so full of life---we just love her and wish we could see her more often!
Little Finn:
Nana Judy and Papa Glenn with the kids. We were so glad to see them, even if it was for just a short visit!
