Week 40

During Week 40, Hayes celebrated his first Christmas and got tooth #6. He is currently into stacking cups. He doesn't actually like to stack them, just chew on them and knock them over. He is a lot more independent now that he can move where he wants. Consequently, he is a lot less frustrated and therefore happier. He is also getting into a lot more stuff---cat food bowls, toilet seats, Christmas tree, cabinets. etc. (see below)
We did, indeed, have a white Christmas, spent with Kyle's parents and brother. We had a nice, relaxing holiday. Hayes got bunches of stuff and loves playing with the more grown-up (1 yr plus) toys. Here he is with a few of his new toys and with his grandparents and Uncle Kevin:

Here are Betty and Butch on their first White Christmas ever:Even with all his new toys, Hayes goes back for the old stand-bys:Two of my favorites of the week:

Mr. Hayes...you are just too handsome! What is he weighing these days? Looks like you guys had a wonderful Christmas too! Your house is beautiful too! I totally know what you mean about your heart just getting bigger and bigger! It truly does get better every day, even when it doesn't seem possible! Happy New Year!
