Week 41

Week 41 has been a week of Bumps, Bruises, and Falls (oh my!). I think this is the first of many such weeks as Hayes gets around more and more and becomes more adventurous. Hayes has gotten tooth #7 this week and yes, he has still been irritable. Part of his crabbiness had to do with the tooth and another coming in soon and part had to do with the fact that he started daycare on Monday. He cried on and off for the first two mornings that he was there, but the girls said he did better the second day than the first. Hopefully, every day will get a little better for his sake and for theirs.

Kyle started work on Monday and has done a lot of unpacking of boxes in his labs. He says it's like Christmas all over again. That's one dorky Christmas!---"look, a BEAKER!!!!," he said with excitement in his eyes.... Oh, but he's my dork! Gotta love him. I start work at an office in Hartford next Monday, so there is a lot of new stuff going on here.

Hayes had his nine-month checkup today. He weighs in at 20 pounds, 3 ounces and is 28 inches tall. He is still riding the 33-38th percentiles for growth---so he's staying right on track and doing very well, according to the doctor. Poor guy had a flu shot today but was lucky enough not to need any other vaccinations this go round.

Here are a few pics from the week: The boys watching football again--
I can't decide which one is in jail---Anya or Hayes...

A flock of wild turkeys came through the back yard the other day. There were 28 in all. They began to cross the street right when a car drove up---the car sat and waited while every single turkey crossed the street, one at a time. I'm sure we'll see them again.

I can't believe how big he's getting... where is the time going? I hope the new jobs go well for both of you. We really can't wait to visit!
