Week 40/ Happy Easter!

Campbell continues to be on the move, but still pretty slowly and she doesn't travel far.  We keep waiting for her to take off....it won't be long.  She is napping for longer stretches these days, trading her 30 minute dozes for hour or two naps two times a day.  And she is making her daddy super proud because she wants to eat anything and everything!  Chicken sausage, pasta, black beans, broccoli casserole, spinach quiche... you name it, and she wants it!  She doesn't want pureed foods anymore, but we can sneak some in between bites of grown-up food.  Maybe she'll be the "eater" out of all the kids.  Time will tell.

Here is my sweet blue-eyed girl, with her hair bling, since she is still nothing but peach fuzz!

Yesterday, we had an egg hunt with our neighbors.  The weather was gorgeous (55 and sunny for the first time in almost a month) and we all enjoyed the sun on our faces while Hayes, Fisher, and Hank ran around the yard searching:

Campbell and baby Cole (2 days older than Campbell) crawled around on the grass for the first time ever:

Here are the pictures from Hayes' actual birthday, including a balloon "5" that we surprised him with when he came downstairs in the morning:

We sang to him around the dinner table:

Hayes had a great birthday, and this mama can't believe she's got a 5 year old already!  He is so smart and sensitive and curious---what a wonderful boy he is becoming!  He is also showing a cunning streak; last night at bedtime, he told the babysitter that his belly hurt.  When she asked him how his belly felt, thinking he'd say hungry, sick, etc., he said, "it feels like it doesn't want to go to bed..." with big crocodile tears in his eyes.  Needless to say, the babysitter was so amused that she totally let him stay up a little longer!

Lastly, a quick story about Fisher: whenever we are in the car and Campbell is fussing, Fisher says, "It's OK, Campbell, I'm right here," over and over again.  What a sweetie!
