Just look at this pretty pink-cheeked little marvel! If you're ever having a rough day, stop by the blog and take a peek at this and just TRY not to smile.
Miss Campbell is becoming a little mobile. Still not crawling (thank goodness), but she's pivoting on her belly a bit and has done an army crawl or two. She is almost pulling up, but still needs help getting up the last bit to her feet. Here is she after spying the blocks behind her:
So happy to be on her feet and have access to those elusive yummy blocks:The great weekly block caper!
Blue, blue, blue---how did all my kids get such gorgeous eyes???
So, we had a surprise 13 inch snow on Friday, after we were only supposed to get 3-6. The great part was the wonderful 50 degree weather that followed on Saturday. And the absolute BEST part was the "warm weather" sledding that we did at our friends' house. They have an awesome hill in their backyard---perfect to create a homemade luge track! We had an incredible time, and it's times like this that make living in a place with a long winter a little more bearable.
Here is our happy girl trying out Hayes' sled:
Fisher breaking trail in the yard:Sledding is hard work---at least the walking back up the hill part! Hayes and his best buddy TJ took a water break after about 20 runs down the track. The sled/luge track is on the right and the walking path is on the left behind them:
Fisher and his buddy Tyler taking a break, too, though they usually were carried back up the hill after sledding down. That was quite the workout for mom and dad!
Hayes rode down with Mr. Tom and TJ:
Campbell went down twice with Kyle:
Hayes on a solo run:
Fisher went down with me once and once on his belly all by himself!
OK, the aweomeness of this sledding is hard to picture with my description alone, so here is a video of Hayes, Mr. Tom, and TJ from the top all the way down. There is a curve to the track so no one goes over into the thawed pond. The boys are giggling the whole way down!
Campbell absolutely LOVES the bath these days!
Campbell's first pancakes at a local diner:
Hayes and Fisher were trying out some of the party favors I ordered for Hayes' bday party:
We've taken the kids to the pool the past few weekends. They all seem to enjoy the water. Hayes is becoming much more comfortable, which makes me super happy, being quite the "pool-rat" myself growing up. I didn't know what to do with my own kid who refused to put his head underwater! With his latest turn at being more adventurous, I think he'll be swimming before too long!
On a final note, I must give an update on Fisher and his potty training. He wore underwear to school all week and only had a few accidents. He has even gone poop in the potty a few times! I thought he would never be potty-trained! But I guess one of the advantages of him being a little older when he started is that he seems like he's catching on pretty quick. We are so proud of him!

Awesome sled track! That looks like a lot of fun! Campbell definitely brings a smile to my face! I still can't believe how big they're all getting. It seems crazy that Hayes is going to be 5 soon! BTW- where did you get the ninja turtle masks? My little ninja would love one!
