What a week it has been! Fisher has reached a ton of milestones this week, the most important of which is him turning ONE YEAR OLD. This last weekly picture of my baby's first year is Fisher in his birthday outfit before his party. (Two asides: I haven't decided whether to continue weekly pictures to his due date of July 10th or go to monthly pictures. Also, party pictures will be posted in a blog entry to follow in a day or so.) As for the other milestones, Fisher is cutting another lower tooth (a lateral, for all my dental peeps) and learned to pull up to a sitting position from his belly. This has opened up a whole new world for him! By chance, we happened to be watching on the monitor and caught him sitting up for the first time in his crib. He had this sly smile on his face and he started making these "hhheeeeeeeee" sounds as he looked around his room from this newest vantage point. He was so excited! (Time to move the crib mattress down.) Now, if all that wasn't enough for one week, Fisher also decided to pull up to the standing position! It's like he decided all the sudden, "I'm ONE now, I better get moving!"
So tired...
Last weekend, we went to the annual Daffodil Fest a few towns away. We got some great pics of the boys amongst the daffodils:
Hayes was SUPER excited to feed the geese---note the air beneath his feet in the second pic---he was jumping up and down after every piece of bread he threw in the water:
Hayes is such a smart cookie--the other day when Fisher pulled up from his belly to a sitting position for the first time and Kyle and I were clapping about it, Hayes said, "Mommy, you need to put that on the blog!" That boy does not miss a beat!
My parents drove all the way up from South Carolina to visit for a little over a week. We are all so happy to see them and spend time with them. Hayes has been spoiled rotten. Heck, we've all been spoiled rotten between my mom cleaning and my dad cooking and both helping with general projects around the house. I wish they didn't live so far away... a girl could get used to this!
Stay tuned for birthday party pictures!

Happy Birthday Fisher!!! Can't wait for the party pics. That is so nice that your parents help out as much as they do. Would they like to visit me one day?
Love all the pictures! I still can't believe your little man is a year old! Happy Birthday, Fisher!
Happy Birthday Fisher! I am in love with the pic of him sleeping on your shoulder. He looks like a little porcelain doll. So sweet. Miss all of you!
Happy birthday Fisher! I am sooo happy not to have to take weekly pictures any more. I couldn't keep up so I'm not going to do them until their due date (end of June). Just monthlies now.
As always, I'm envious of your picture taking abilities. I can't seem to get good ones.
Did you give Fisher a hair cut yet? My boys' hair is out of control but I want to let it grow out.
