Papa Glenn and Nana Judy's Visit

 My mom and dad drove up to visit for Fisher's birthday.  We had such a great visit and got to spend lots of quality time together. They are such easy guests and spoil us rotten with not only the cooking and cleaning they do, but the list of "projects" I always have ready for them.  This year, we got some great landscaping done (pictures to come later), the hammock hung, and the monster project:  building the swingset (see below).  Papa Glenn and Nana Judy also got to spend lots of time with Hayes, taking him on hikes, on picnics, to playgrounds, to eat ice cream, etc.  He was sad to see them go and to go back to school after a week off.  We were all sad to see them go!!!  Thank you, Mom and Dad, for making the trip up here, for all you accomplished while here, and most of all, for just being here for us.

Fisher was so cute---he knew just what to do!  It came so naturally to him to sit up straight and grip the steering wheel!

Fisher was a little hesitant to go to Papa Glenn and Nana Judy at first (stranger anxiety and mama devotion combined), but by the end of their visit, he was all for it, especially when enticed with a balloon, which he LOVES!

Our big project for the visit was to put together the swingset that we bought for Hayes' birthday.  It took my dad and me at least 16 hours to assemble.  There were absolutely no prefabricated pieces in the boxes that it came in.  Even the slide had to be assembled!!!  The good news is that we finished and it turned out well and we didn't kill each other in the process!
