Today we went to Bonner Springs to meet some family at the annual Renaissance Festival. It was a gorgeous day and we had fun with my cousin (in-law) Sarah and her son Owen and their friend Missy. They have made the trek from the St. Louis area to the festival every year for the past 15. They were nice enough to show us around and let us encroach upon their annual girls' weekend.
The last time we saw Owen, he was a baby. Now, he's HUGE! He's only 2 1/2 but he's very big for his age--- and a cutie! He was nice enough to share his milk and his jester hat with Hayes. What a sweetie!
Here is Hayes as a sorcerer and Owen as a king:
There were all kinds of things going on, like animal rides, a petting zoo, jousting matches, a royal procession/parade, and bird shows. Here are a few shots of a beautiful owl (which Kyle LOVES but is irrationally afraid of!!!):

Name the movie-
Serving Wench: "There were no knives or forks in medieval times, hence there are no knives and forks at Medieval Times."
Steven: "But they had Pepsi?"
That must have been really nice getting to visit with Sarah and Owen. I can't believe how much Owen looks like his Dad!!
