Week 21

Hayes returned to daycare on Monday after spending a wonderful week at home with Kyle. So far, he's been behaving himself (read: he hasn't been kicked out yet...). He has begun to reach out for toys. He doesn't always grab on to them since his coordination is still lacking, but at least he's trying. It's so cute to see the look of intense determination on his little face as he tries to figure out how to get his hands to move where he wants them.
Hayes in his Gamecock regalia, signalling "Gamecocks, number one!"

We decided to try to give Hayes some rice cereal. He has been showing some of the signs of being ready for solids but not others, so we tried it out the other night. He didn't really take much in and wasn't too interested, so I think we'll hold off and try again in another week or two. Here's a video of him trying the yucky stuff.

We got two offers on our house, both of which were the SAME. We just picked one, put in a counter offer, and they accepted! So, our house is under contract. I am in a little bit of shock and feel like this is too good to be true that our house is sold after being on the market only 12 days. There's got to be some catch, right? If all goes well, then we'll close on Nov. 6, which means we won't have to move out of our house before we're ready to leave Lawrence. Yeah!
Hayes with our other awesome neighbor, Ken. We're going to be so sad to leave the best neighbors we could have ever asked for!

Congrats on the house!!!! I am sure that it has to be a huge relief! We will keep our fingers crossed that everything goes as it should with the sale. It sounds like Hayes needs a "talking to" from uncle Crotchy about eating. You know when I was his age we didn't have luxuries like boob milk! We ate what was put on the table and liked it. I was eating chicken, bones and all, by 19 weeks. Don't worry, I will straighten him out in November.

I love the one of him looking at the cereal like "What the hell are you trying to feed me?!?" It's a great shot!
