Week 19

This week has been a little crazy and a lot stressful! We've been feverishly trying to get our house ready to put on the market and Hayes has started a new, small, in-home daycare. He's being entertained daily by the other toddlers in the daycare, so we think he's having a good time. Lots of things are making it into Hayes' mouth, like this toy all the way from France---Sophie la Giraffe---from our friends Geraldine and Frances.

Hayes is starting to notice things around him more and more. He follows the cats with his eyes around the room and "pets" them. Here is Anya thanking Hayes for the rubbing with a nice forehead kiss.

It's been pretty darn hot here. Our air conditioner can't keep up with the 101 degree heat. Even Hayes has been complaining in his own non-verbal way. So, sometimes we strip him down to his diaper to cool him off. Here he is just messing around with some rainbow socks and watching us eat dinner:

Sunday night, Hayes had another date with Taylor across the street. Kyle and I insisted on chaperoning and were lucky enough to be served an awesome dinner by Kelly and Luke, Taylor's parents. Hayes was quite smitten with Taylor, staring at her for a while. Taylor has had a lot of suitors, but I think Hayes is the front runner after Sunday night. He even cuddled up next to her in Taylor's ducky!

Hayes has been sharing his changing table with Anya (both are showing their bellies) and his Bumbo chair with Puddy:
