Just Hayes

Here's a little update on our beautiful blue-eyed big boy:

A few mornings ago, we had our first frost of the season.  On our way out of the driveway, Hayes said, "Mommy, what's the white thing in Hank's yard?"  (Hank is the little boy who lives across the street.)  I looked over and saw a layer of frost on the grass and said, "Hayes, that's called frost."  He responded, "Frosting?  Like frosting on a cupcake?"  Yeah, Hayes, it sort of is like frosting on a cupcake.

Hayes recently had his first corndog at a restaurant.  We tried to explain it to him before the waitress brought it to the table, but the look on his face and his exclamation of "THERE'S A HOTDOG IN HERE!!!" when he took his first bite was priceless.

During the month of September, we changed Hayes' middle name to J-E-A-L-O-U-S.  He can't stand it if we're paying any attention to Fisher and not to him.  I'm sure that's pretty traditional in the realm of sibling rivalry, though.

Hayes still loves tractors and was elated that we were the only ones to ride on the tractor's "pull" while we were picking apples at our nearby orchard.

Our science experiment---mixing colors in milk:

Here is the first family picture that Hayes has ever drawn.  He says that his daddy is the one with the big head and big shoes!
