17 Months

 Alternate 17 Months picture:
During the last month, Fisher has really started to turn the corner from being a baby to a toddler.  He is walking all over (see a later post for videos) and his comprehension has increased tenfold.  He is finally signing "more," "milk," and "please."  He can point to nose, ear, eye, mouth, tongue, teeth, and head.  He has started clicking his tongue.  He waves and blows kisses, but only to Kyle and Hayes.  The little stinker won't ever wave to me when I leave him at daycare in the morning---my own torture for leaving him behind!  Fisher still hasn't said any official words yet.  Sometimes Kyle, his teachers and I swear that he just said some phrase or another (like "watch this" or "I don't want that"), but it doesn't make sense since he doesn't say any one word clearly.  So, mostly, it's just lots and lots of babbling/garble-dee-gook.  Also, he's started joking a little and cracks himself up or gets tickled when we do something he thinks is funny.  Lastly, our little blondie is not going to be blond for long.  His roots at the crown of his head are starting to grow in darker.  I'll miss his blond hair!!!

Fun back at home in the yard---This picture is for my brother Chris----is this not the perfect picture of a future USC football player??? (Not that I'll ever let him play football!)
 Such joy!
Climbing up the ladder on the playscape all by himself (with Daddy right behind, of course):
Crawling backwards down the "hill" in our backyard:

I've put up several more blog posts following this one, so make sure to read all the ones published in October!

As always, I have picture envy. You always take such great shots and Fisher is too darn cute!

He may not say any words yet but it sounds like he does a lot of things that my boys don't do, like signing "milk" and "please". G will only point to a few body parts and J none. It's impossible not to compare kids isn't it??!!! :)
