It won't be long before Fisher starts crawling. He lunges forward from a sitting position to his belly and then pivots around in a circle on his belly. He has been super happy the past week. That is, unless you take something from him that he really wants---then, he throws a major fit! (Just like Hayes used to do...) He greets us when we pick him up from school with the biggest smiles and reaches towards us---what a way to be greeted! Also, he has started repeating the "ma ma ma" syllables, so hopefully that will turn into "Mama" soon! Here he is getting into the toy basket:

This week, we celebrated Hayes' 3rd birthday. We tried to make the day super special for him, even though we both had to work and he had to go to school. We began the day by letting him pick one present to open:
Then, we took Fisher to daycare so that Hayes could go out to breakfast with just me and Kyle. We went to Hayes' favorite restaurant, Friendly's, where he loaded up on french toast and syrup.

Then, I took Hayes to school, where his friends sang Happy Birthday to him and then shared his birthday cake for snack:
After school, Hayes opened the rest of his presents, all of which he loved:
We ended the day with dinner at the "chicken nugget store" (McDonalds). All in all, I think Hayes had a terrific birthday! Check back next week for pictures of his birthday party that we're going to have next weekend!

Fisher IS going to be crawling soon!! He's so alert and so damn cute. I swear that he's the best dressed male baby that I've seen.
Oh, and it looks like you have just as much trouble as me keeping him away from the blocks when taking the weekly picture. My husband has made me promise that once the boys turn a year old that we'll only take monthly pix. LOL!!
What a great way to spend a birthday! I still can't believe that he's 3 already, and that Kellen is just a few short months behind him! BTW- I'm going to have to commission YOU to make his birthday cake (Buzz Lightyear, of course)!
