Week 42

This week, Fisher really started to get into eating solid foods again.  He's been actually opening his mouth enthusiastically for purees of fruits and all the orange veggies (carrots, sweet potatoes, and squash).  He also has started to use the "pincer" grasp of thumb and forefinger to pick up puffs.  About half of the puffs make it to his mouth:
Fisher also seems to be a little less happy with being stationary.  We can tell he's a little antsy to be on the move---he tries to twist and turn out of our grip and is rolling more.  He also seems to be happier and easier with his laughs.  Here is Kyle tickling him in his jumperoo:
Here are a few more pics of my blue-eyed baby:

Hanging out (literally) with Daddy:

Hayes is...how should I say this... really testing our patience these days.  He is very independent and seems to have forgotten his listening ears almost every minute of the day.  He is getting up VERY early (5:30 or 6 most mornings), which is probably why he's being so FRESH (the northeast's popular term for being naughty) all the time.  But he is still cute as pie, saying things like "my belly hurts a little bit" first thing every morning.  We think he means that he is hungry!  Also, I was teasing Kyle the other night telling him he was fibbing about something.  Hayes piped up and said that Kyle's nose was going to grow just like Pinocchio's!  And that a bird was going to come down and eat it!  What the heck was he talking about???  We didn't even know he knew about Pinocchio!  Here he is trying to do jumping jacks (and no, there are not bugs on the floor that he's trying to squash):
:
Hayes seems to be learning a lot at his new school.  They do educational projects every day and he comes home and tells us stuff like "lava is melted rock."  We're all pretty happy with the new school!  Here is one of the projects from last week:
