Week 41

During Fisher's 41st week, he had his 9 month check-up with the pediatrician.  He weighed in at 16 pounds, 2 ounces (1 percentile) and was 25.75 inches (0 percentile) and his head was 17.5 inches (23rd percentile)-- you know what they say about someone with a big head, right???  Yep, he's gonna be a genius!  If we put his measurements in for his adjusted age (7 months), he is 8.8 % for weight, 6.4 % for height, and 50 % for head circumference.  Also this week, Fisher had another virus with a lovely fever and wakeful nights (yay for me and Kyle).  He is feeling better this weekend, though.

In other Fisher news, he has learned to click his tongue and gets so happy with himself when he does it---he grins ear to ear!  Something not so cute is that he has been gritting his newly erupted top teeth against his bottom teeth, which is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me!  I can only hope the novelty of this will wear off soon.

Fisher continues to be adjusting well to his helmet.  Here is a picture of "helmet hair"---you can see where his hair sticks up through the hole in the top of the helmet:
Hayes helped me with lots of Valentine's Day projects in the kitchen last weekend, including iced sugar cookies and pretzel rolo treats (yummy salty, sweet, chocolaty, caramelly bites of goodness!):
I never got a straight answer out of Hayes, but he made this project at school to either be Abraham Lincoln or a leprechaun:
Last but not least, here is silly Hayes wearing a hat OVER the hood of his sweatshirt.  He insisted on this before we headed out to the store:

As usual love the update! Hayes, I bet I can guess who you are--Abe or the leprechan--grandmama share a birthday with Abe. That's my guess! Love it! Love and hugs to all. Grandmama
