Week 31

Look who's sitting up so well!!! Fisher sat up by himself for well over 5 minutes---throwing his arms out to steady himself from time to time. He is reaching for lots of things, including my glasses and hair! He is enchanted by the tv remote and my cell phone. Here are the awesome shoes that Betty made just for Fisher---aren't they cute??? And isn't my mother-in-law talented???

So, my poor baby is still sick. The doctor thinks it's a second virus that is tailing the one he had last weekend. We will be so glad when he's feeling better---it seems like he's been sick for ages. Doesn't he look pitiful?

My birthday was last Monday and Hayes got me a card with a #1 Mom sticker in it---so here I am posing with my boys:

Hayes helped out a little with Christmas cookie baking.

No iced cookie is complete without sprinkles!

Hayes has been learning "his" letters. In fact, he is a tad obsessed with them. He picks out H's, A's, Y's, E's and S's in magazines, in newspapers, on signs, on peoples' sweatshirts, etc. He also knows K for Kyle, F for Fisher and M for Mommy. (He doesn't grasp that A can be for me, too---it is HIS letter!) Here's my "letter" man:
Quite the outfit with the rainbow socks:
Hayes is getting the hang of this "big boy" puzzle:

My beautiful boys:

Now that Fisher is sitting up better, he spends some time in the bath tub with Hayes. Soon, they'll be bathing together every night!

Fisher looks so chubby in some of these pictures, but he only weighs 14 lbs, 9 ounces. He's still my little peanut! Here's my happy boy in the tub:

We're planning on actually using our basement and turning it into the boys' playroom in the next couple of months. Our living room needs to be reclaimed for adults! We've moved some toys down there already and Hayes thinks it's really cool to play in the basement. Now, all we need is a couch so Kyle can sit a little more comfortably...
