Week 7

Week 7 was a busy week--mostly having fun with my parents. We picked blueberries and cherries (forgot the camera) and tried out several different ice cream stands. We were fed like kings and queens and cleaned up after. Oh, and my dad completed a laundry list of home improvement projects (ceiling fans, laundry room shelf, the entire garden, etc.). We were so spoiled!

Fisher visited the pediatrician again and went from 6 lbs, 1 oz. to 6 lbs, 11 oz. in 4 days---that's 10 ounces! Then, the visiting nurse came by 6 days later and he was up to 7 lbs, 2 oz. Maybe he'll be a chubby baby... Hayes was always kinda skinny and still is, so it'll be a different experience if Fisher is a pork-chop!

Hayes always wants to hold Fisher. I hope the novelty doesn't wear off...

Quality brother bonding time:

One of the great things about having another boy is that we get to reuse all the cute clothes that Hayes wore. This "Automatic Sprinkler" onesie is one that Aunt Gillian, Uncle Casey, and Cousin Lilah sent Hayes what seems like ages ago.

Having some awake time with Nana Judy:

Will Smith said it right: "Chillin' out..."

"Maxin'..."

"Relaxing all cool..."

We took Hayes to the lake beach in our town on Father's Day. Hayes and Kyle and my dad splashed and had an all around great time playing in the sand and(cold as hell) water.

As first-time parents, Kyle and I were vigilant about doing everything the baby books said---and right on time. As seasoned parents, we're a little lax about some things. For example, Hayes was bathed every other day for the first 4 months, even though his non-mobile self wasn't really dirty. Poor Fisher will be bathed slightly less frequently---he's not dirty and we have a two-year old to chase after. Excuses, excuses.... Here is Fisher's first (and only) bath at home:

Alison,
Your post did go through! Yeah! It's so great to hear from you. We've been thinking of you a lot and I'm glad that you're doing well. I found the shabby blog website from a friend of mine that used a background from them. They're very cute and give you some more options, so we don't have to use the same ones.

Fisher is getting so big already! Hayes is such a sweet big brother! Fisher has a lot of hair! They're both so handsome!

I hope that you have a wonderful 4th of July and I'll tell my parents that you said hello! My parents think of you and Kyle everyday and if you ever need anything please give them or us a call. They miss you and Hayes a lot. They said that they'd love to get their hands on Fisher all of the time like they did with Hayes ;)!

Take care! Tell Kyle we said, "Hi!" and hug and kiss those boys a lot from all of us.
