Week 5

Week 5 has been an exciting week. At the beginning of the week, we were told by the doctors that Fisher might be able to come home by the end of the week if he got his act together. He had to be "spell free" (not have any episodes where his heartrate or blood oxygen dropped at a random time) and perfect his eating technique (take all his meals by breast or bottle--without the feeding tube). Well, he behaved himself and we were able to take him home on the 11th, so his week 5 picture is the first we were able to take from home!

Look Ma, no feeding tube!!!! Now we can see his whole face, which is filling out more and more.

We'll have to use this as proof in coming years that Hayes does actually love his brother!

Fisher in his coming home outfit that Aunt Stephanie bought a few years ago. Hayes wore it home from the hospital, too! Check out his chin(s)-- who would've thought a 5 pound baby could have a double chin!?!? (5 pounds, 13.5 ounces on day of discharge)

As you can see, Fisher was ridiculously excited to be going home:

Hayes was welcomed home from school by his baby brother and by several gifts that Fisher brought him to (buy his love) show him what a great big brother he is.
