Hayes' 21 month shot was taken at the end of a long, eventful, and fun-filled Christmas Day, so please forgive the lack of smile :). During the last month or so, we have listened as Hayes has attempted to repeat just about everything we say and has started stringing together 3-4 word phrases pretty regularly. We learned that Hayes LOVES eggnog and is learning to be polite, saying, "please" and "thank you mama/dada," sometimes without our prompting. He even told me "bless you, mama" after I sneezed one day! I'm not sure how he learned that (me or daycare, I suppose)---but it certainly wasn't Kyle as he tells me "you're so good looking" after I sneeze (Seinfeld, anyone?). Maybe we'll teach him that next month...
Also, Hayes has great taste in music. He is constantly asking us to put on his "no knocking" song by the Kings of Leon. We'll play it and he'll dance around like crazy (jump, flail, fall down, etc.---must get his rhythm from his daddy...). As soon as the song is over, he'll say, "no knockin 'gain" and throws a "pease" in there for good measure if we're slow to comply. After about the 7th or 8th playing, we pretend it's broken. Hayes has gotten so big and he's just as adorable as I remember him! Mom gave me your blog and we've made you a part of our blog by adding you as one of our friends. I'm glad that you had a great Christmas and that you made it home safely.
adorable!! Hayes and Taylor could have a dance off=) He is looking so old these days!! I just can't believe how fast time is flying by!!
