This week, we've been a little off schedule due to illness. Last Thursday, we picked Hayes up from daycare and took him to the doctor. His cold had gotten a little worse in that he sounded a little wheezy when he breathed and coughed. The doctor diagnosed him with bronchiolitis (inflammation of the bronchioles), which was making him wheezy. He also tested Hayes for RSV (respiratory syncytial virus), which was positive. A chest x-ray on Friday was clear. While bronchiolitis and RSV can be serious in babies, we and the doctor aren't too concerned at this point. Hayes' breathing sounds kinda bad from time to time, but he's not laboring to breathe, has no fever, and acts pretty normal. He's playing and eating as usual so we're not worried. He is back in daycare---and although we don't want him to spread the contagious RSV to other kids, we have a sneaking suspicion that daycare is where he acquired it in the first place!
Kyle and I have both caught Hayes' cold. Kyle also had a fever and stayed home from work a day and a half. Lucky for him, he doesn't really have to answer to anyone at work---as long as he gets his long-term goals accomplished and makes it to meetings, he's good to go!
Last weekend, we had some beautiful weather (47 degrees)! We were finally able to do a little shopping and run errands and walk from store to store without rushing in and snuggling Hayes into our coats. It gave us a glimpse of the nicer weather to come and made us yearn for spring. We can't wait to be able to explore our new surroundings without freezing our butts off!
Here are a few pics from the week: Just enough hair to make a mini mo-hawk--

Playin' with his spoon--

Hayes has FINALLY learned how to jump in his jumparoo (it only took 6 months...)! Here he is playing in it--

"Hey, where'd those blocks go?"

Wow! The hair has grown. Love the Mohawk and the two boys in full grin!
When did he go from being a baby to a little boy? It makes me sad to think about how fast our little men are growing up! We miss you guys!
Love the mohawk! What a little stud. We are so sorry little man has been so sicky. Hope you all get well soon. Taylor sends her love to Hayes this Valentine's Day!!
Well you can see who runs your house and holds your hearts in his sweet little "busy" hands! Hayes looks so happy and so do yall.
I remember "day care" ills...but think of all the great "people" skills he is learning and new friends you all will meet. Children will take you out of the house and bring home lots of new and exciting experiences for their entire family!
Memories are made of this...(love the bath butt shot..it will be one of the favorites in the "photo montage" at his wedding one day)
love you all and miss you,
Ms. Donnie
