This week, Hayes found his feet! (see below) He also decided that his stomach is a bottomless pit----we can't fill that boy up with enough milk! Maybe he's going through a growth spurt... He hasn't been kicked out of daycare yet. He's sitting a little longer on his own before he topples over----sometimes 5-6 seconds at a time.
We spent last Saturday buying a new car. We needed some more space and bought a mid-sized SUV---a Toyota Highlander. Isn't she pretty? My first brand new car! Hayes and Kyle sat in the front seat, then we got a nice family pic after a happy car hunting day.
On Labor Day, we took Hayes back to the outdoor pool and then to get some ice cream afterwards. It was a nice lazy day.
Here, Kyle sat Hayes on his head and got a nice surprise---look closely at his forehead!
Hayes helped me hold the umbrella to shield us from the remnants of Gustav as we went to get the mail.
(Three more weeks of work! ...not that I'm counting)

Nice wheels! That boy of yours is so adorable- we can't wait to love on him in November! Looks like he got back at his dad for shaving off "the skullet".
