19 Months

Campbell now says "Thank you" unprompted whenever we give her something or do something for her.  This is the really sweet part of her talking more.  The not-so-nice part is that Campbell has learned the word "MINE!"--- a milestone in every child's life, especially when that child has older siblings!  Campbell also had her 18 month check-up (a little late) and weighed in at 24 pounds, 6 ounces.  She was diagnosed with her first ear infection--boo!  Lastly, she has another canine breaking through (three out of four so far).

We celebrated Christmas a third time once we got home from SC---we had to open the gifts that we left under our tree.  Hayes was excited about this classic game that he learned to play at daycare:
Happy face silhouette:
My goodness, he keeps looking like a BOY and not a toddler anymore---sniff, tear, sniff...
Campbell became a pro at unwrapping gifts:
She got another Cabbage Patch doll and immediately covered her up with the blanket that came with the doll.  Is the mothering instinct really so strong???
Fisher got a balance bike.  Unfortunately, his little feet don't quite reach the floor yet while he sits on it.  We keep trying to convince him that if he actually EATS, he'll grow tall and strong....and his feet will reach the floor!
The jealous older brothers had to have a turn playing with the new baby doll:
The kids have all been pulling each other around the house in C's new wagon:
Putting her baby in the cart to go "shopping:"
We finally retired the baby-sized hooded towels.  One by one, our kids have outgrown them.  Campbell got a couple of new, larger towels from Santa.  Mama is sad that I'll never use the super soft and well-worn baby towels anymore, but Campbell is super happy in her new "big girl" towel:
Campbell is very into grinning cheesily for the camera lately---I love it!!!
The boys got their first lego sets from Santa this year.  Kyle helped Fisher put his together, but Hayes followed the directions and assembled his boat almost entirely on his own.  We were so proud of him!

In other Hayes news, Hayes finished up his swim lessons by swimming across the pool without stopping.  He also has been playing basketball with the town's rec league and has picked up the basics pretty quickly.  There are some kids that are still kinda squishy and uncoordinated at five years old and others that have really started to use their bodies well.  Hayes definitely is in the latter category.  It is so great to watch him learn and have fun!

The boys got to "ride" these arcade motorcycles.  They can keep dreaming, because it ain't happening in real life!!!!
We spent a weekend in NH.  The weather was pretty cruddy, but we were able to get a few small projects done and really just relax, which was super nice.  Campbell is "helping" me in the kitchen:
We took down the cabinets and range hood between the kitchen and living room to open things up a bit.  Here it is part way done:
All cabinets down.  Now, we just need to get an electrician out to do something with the unsightly wires so we can patch the bulkhead and paint it.  It is really nice to be able to look right into the living room without a bank of cabinets in the way!
After a long day stuck inside (ice and rain all day), we had crab walking, crawling, and hopping races around the condo to burn off some energy. Everyone is encouraging Campbell as she finished her lap of crawling:
Isn't this what one uses a stroller for???? Dinosaur transport, of course!
Happy girl:
Creepy masks, but the kids love them:
