18 Months

Campbell's 18 month picture was taken in front of Grandmama and Grandaddy's Christmas tree, just like her 27 week picture a year ago.  She was even wearing the same dress that Grandmama made for her.  The great thing about dresses is that there is no rule about how long they should be!  Check out how much Campbell has grown but also how much she looks the same as a year ago.
This month, Campbell has two canines starting to erupt.  She has gotten even better at following directions and is eager to please.  She'll answer questions with a nod or a shake of her head.  The cutest things have been that she will say "tank-ooo" (thank you) when prompted, she gives kisses when we say "love you!", and she goes over to her brothers to hug them when they get hurt or are crying.  She is such a sweet, loving baby girl!  How did we get so lucky?!?!

Fisher is the cutest little stinker.  One of his daycare teachers told me the best story that had me smiling from ear to ear for a whole day.  There was a new, younger teacher at daycare with braces on her teeth.  Fisher kept looking at her and staring at her teeth with a concerned look on his face.  When he finally asked her what was on her teeth, she said that they were braces to help straighten them out.  Her answer didn't do much to comfort him because he still looked quite concerned, so she quickly assured him that the dentist was going to be taking them off soon.  Well, my sweet little boy stood up, puffed out his chest, and said, "My mommy is the strongest dentist EVER, and SHE can get those things off your teeth for you!"  How wonderful it is to be the best in your kids' eyes!
Fisher has gotten really good at knowing the sounds and identifying the letters that begin all his friends' names at daycare.  Here is Fisher with his best friend Reagan:
And Hayes with his best bud TJ:
I can't remember if I've put up any pictures of Campbell in her awesome knitted hat yet or not. One of my patients made this for her when she was born.  I couldn't wait to put it on her this winter.  It is perfect because it keeps her little bald head warm and makes her look like she has "hair!"

We put up two Christmas trees again this year, one real one and this fake one on the upstairs landing.  It is beautiful to see it lit up through the picture window from the road .
Helpers decorating the tree:

Never forgetting, she is with us in spirit...
Goof ball:

Looks who came back this year!
I finally remembered to get a picture of the Veteran's Day sheet that Hayes sent in to school and was posted in the hallway.  He decided to honor two of the veterans he knows, Uncle Chris and Aunt Cindy:
Tickle-fest with Daddy:
Fisher is doing a great job of coloring in the lines:
The boys helped me bake Christmas tree cookies.  They wanted to put a dishtowel over their shoulder just like mama:

Playing outside in the snow:

Campbell has made another transition to sitting at the table instead of using her highchair top.  She insisted on sitting at the table like the rest of us:
The boys had their Christmas program at daycare and both sang their hearts out.  It was so cute!
Lucky for me, they were near each other---Hayes in the blue and green striped sweater and Fisher in the orange striped button up shirt.

Proud Mama Bear:
Here are the kids as we wait for our rental car in Charlotte after flying down for the holidays.  More pics from Christmas to come!
