Our Campbell's comprehension is vastly improving. She can follow simple directions, like "go find your shoes" and "put this in the trash." She is also starting to try to say some words, though they sound pretty garbled. She'll say the sounds that a dog and cat makes when we say "woof" or "meow" first. Our favorite so far has been her version of a rooster---I'll have to try to get it on video. Lastly, she can point to a few more body parts and will give a high five.
Looking pretty standing on her hand-me-down scooter. (She has no idea how to ride it yet.)
Chillin' in the bathtub:
Campbell joined her brothers as they ate snack and watched a PBS Kids video on my ipad:
More Halloween outfits:My sweet babies:
One of Campbell's favorite pastimes is taking all the tupperware out of the cabinet. She used to just throw them around the house, but lately she's been trying to put the tops on the various containers and is thrilled with herself when she finds one that fits (aren't we all?)!
I picked up some half-price Halloween costumes the day after. Hayes and Fisher LOVE them! They spontaneously struck these poses for me when I brought the camera out:
Apparently, superheroes do homework, too!
On a nature hike on a mild fall Sunday:
Boy/big tire heaven:
Sharing a box:
Campbell supervised mini-donut making from the "Learning Tower"---her first time being up at the counter to watch/help any cooking or baking. Her favorite part was tasting the final product:Gotta love some good tights!
Kyle's new toy:
The boys were happy to ruin the work Kyle had done:
I made the boys wait until we had gotten the pile back together before they could jump in again:
Campbell was happy to watch:
Hank with Hayes and Fisher--- they had a blast in the leaves:
Miss Fuzzy:
Angelic Tow-head:
Gosh, he looks like a BOY in this picture! Where has my toddler gone????
One night at dinner, we looked over and Campbell had stacked up all the pieces of ham on her tray. We were a little but amazed/shocked. She built the stack and then knocked it over a couple times. That took some planning and coordination! Maybe she's showing signs of being an engineer...?
