Campbell had her very first taste of ice cream in this week's picture. She seemed to like it (as she does everything, except lima beans), but made faces at how cold it was! This was our family's first ice cream trip of the spring, since spring has finally sprung!!!
We actually had a very sad week. My Grandma Cherry passed away at 92 years old of kidney failure. She was the strongest woman I have ever known. She was slight of stature but a spitfire of a lady, and just tough as nails. She never once complained during the year and a half that she lived with end-stage kidney failure (well outliving the doctor's predictions), though she was in tremendous pain. My remarkable Grandma Cherry had 6 children, 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. What a legacy she left! We flew down to SC to be with my mother and family and to attend the services. Your thoughts and/or prayers for all of my family members to find peace are greatly appreciated.
We visited Anya while down in Charleston. We took her down to live with my sister, Stephanie, and her family at Christmas. In SC, she can be an inside-outside cat, which she LOVES. She has lost some weight and honestly, didn't seem to remember us that much. 7 and a half years of sleeping on me and now she's been down south for 4 months and acts like she doesn't know me, the little stinker! But it was good to see her healthy and happy.
Chris brought Kellen with him and all the boys got to hang out with Aunt Stacey:Fisher dressed like a pirate at the Children's Museum and walked around saying "Argh, Matey!"
Our tulip magnolia finally blooming!
Fisher eating ice cream is like a crime scene!
