Week 33

Our week ended with some excitement in the form of the biggest blizzard Connecticut has ever seen.  It started yesterday and snowed for over 28 hours.  Accumulation was slow at first, but at one point, we had 7 inches within 2 hours.  It was crazy!  We got somewhere between 28 and 32 inches, though it was hard to tell because there were drifts everywhere due to the wind gusts.  Kyle got to use his brand new snow blower, which I think he was excited about until it took him almost 3 hours to clean the driveway!  How lucky are we to have such a hardworking  head of our family!

Above, Campbell is sitting in front of the wall of snow that Kyle cut into the driveway.  Below, Hayes was helping clean off the front porch.  The snow came up to his elbows!
Fisher, Campbell, and I stayed cozy warm inside and had hot chocolate waiting when the "big boys" came in:

Kyle and Hayes cut a little tunnel into the snow:

The kids' playscape.  The swings were buried!

Fisher learned how to spell his name, all by memory of course.  Although he does recognize his "F" and points them out whenever he sees one.  He always says, "There's my letter, an "F" for Fisher!"    And lately, when we call him honey or buddy, he says, "I'm not buddy, I'm Fisher," and won't answer unless we call him Fisher.
