No big changes here this week. All the kids have low grade colds and I'm hoping they don't get any worse since we are leaving for South Carolina in a few days! Above, Campbell is wearing the corduroy long-all that Kyle's mom, Betty, made for him to wear at his first Christmas 34 years ago. I dressed it up with some ribbon to make it a little more feminine for Campbell. I love that multiple generations have worn the same outfits!
Below is Hayes at his first Christmas wearing another 34ish year old longall made by Betty.
And here is Fisher at his first Christmas wearing the same longall as Campbell. I also love to compare their looks at around the same age. I think that Campbell favors Hayes' looks, don't you? But they all certainly have that look of being siblings. We went to some friends' house last weekend and Fisher was enchanted by the train that went around a track under the tree. He looked like such a big boy laying on his belly with his chin in his hands, elbows down.
Hayes had his annual Christmas "concert" at daycare during the week. Last year I blocked out my schedule and scrambled to get there in time for his concert and the little turkey didn't sing the first word the whole time! He sang this time, though, and Kyle and I were so glad we were able to make it. He is in the middle in front of the Christmas tree:
Here is a video of one of the songs (no one will win American Idol!):
This morning, Fisher insisted on holding Campbell, and said, "without your hands, Daddy!" and made Kyle let her go so that he could hold her all by himself. He then kissed her several times; it was so sweet!
Campbell has been able to roll over for a while but hasn't done it very often. A big reason is that she doesn't get much on the floor time here at home. She traditionally spits up if she's laid on her back. OK, well, she spits up regardless, but it seems to happen more when lying down. I hate to jinx it, but she's been spitting up slightly less lately---a trend, I dare to hope... Anyways, she started practicing her rolling a bit more in the past few days and Kyle got it on video:
