Our little chubster spent her first week settling into life at home with 2 older brothers. It is definitely a bit chaotic, but the boys have been doing really well with her. The chaos had more to do with the rainy afternoons we had during the week and the boys not being able to burn off steam outside and less to do with having a new baby at home. They honestly seem to be adjusting pretty well so far.
Campbell is adjusting well also and is focused on gaining back the weight she lost after birth. She was down to 9 lbs, 4 oz at her first pediatrician appt. I know it sounds silly, but we can definitely tell her cheeks are not as fat as at birth.
Campbell snoozing in the bouncer while boys are playing nearby:
This baby likes to contort herself in the bouncy---looking oh-so uncomfortable, but sleeping soundly anyways:
Talking with Papa Glenn:
Hayes is sitting next to me while I'm typing this, pointing out all the pictures where Campbell's eyes are open. When he first met her, he asked if she had eyes yet. She had such chubby cheeks that her little eyes were squinched shut. So now whenever he sees her eyes open, he says, "there are her eyes!"
