Our little Fisher turned 2 on Monday. He has grown a bit (3 inches since his 18 month appt), putting him in the 50th percentile---woohoo! His head is still large (HUGE) in the 55th percentile, but he is still our little peanut, weighing in at 22 pounds, 3.5 oz, in the whopping 3rd percentile. (What is the opposite of a weeble-wobble??? you know---big head, small body) He is talking in short sentences, saying things like, "thank you Haysie," "ride your scooter," and the heart-melting "I wuv ooo, Daddy."
Each birthday, we do hand and foot prints to compare how much they've grown from year to year. I don't have a pic here, but his hands and feet are about 4 times the size they were when he was born.
Look at my green feet!Hayes helped to open all of Fisher's birthday presents. Here is the cool new spinning sprinkler you'll see action pics of further down in the post:
Fisher insisted on me reading his new book right away. He and Hayes both LOVE books, just like Mama and Daddy!
Fisher's new water table:
New backpack:
Cool like Daddy:Fisher also got a bubble machine, which I think Hayes had more fun with. There is almost nothing better than the pure joy on his face while running through bubbles or sprinklers!
Dragging a truck through the yard:
Family reading time on the couch:
Fisher has become VERY insistent when it comes to putting on certain clothing and shoe items. He pitched a fit to wear these but was incredibly happy once they were on. Major fit occurred again when it was time to get dressed for the day in clothes in which he could appear in public!Me and my boys:
Impromptu picnic with our neighbors Hank and Mr. Morgan one beautiful weekend day: (these boys are going to get into some major trouble together as they get older!)
How adorable are these boys in matching shirts?!?!
Surprise! We are expecting again! I think almost all of our (two) readers know this already, but here is the proof. We are 31.5 weeks along with a baby girl. Our due date (July 10th) is the exact same as the twins', which is a little strange/ironic. We've been very cautious due to past experience, but this pregnancy has been going incredibly well so far (hope I didn't jinx it...), with me NOT on bedrest! (I was on full bedrest with Hayes and had already delivered the twins at this point in previous pregnancies) My doctors are monitoring me very closely and we are all pleased that my body is cooperating so far! We have a c-section scheduled for July 3rd, should we make it to that date (my doctors and I are not so opitmistic, but getting a little more so as each week goes by). Cross your fingers that Baby Girl continues to do well! (I will try to post some ultrasound pics soon.)
Here are the boys wanting to feel the baby:
Hayes loves to kiss my belly. Fisher is more interested in looking for my fast disappearing belly button. The other day, he said, "bye bye button!" as he looked at my belly. Here he is being sweet and copying Hayes by kissing my belly:
My boys getting the garden ready for planting in the next few weeks:
Loving the new sprinkler on our first truly warm (80 degree awesomeness) and nice day:More water table play:
Who doesn't love an ice-pop?!?!
Sweet boys don't have a clue about how their world will be turned upside down soon!
He was pretty into his Mac 'n Cheese, so he wasn't really wanted to answer my questions, but here is Fisher "cheesing" it up for the camera:
