18 Months

During the past month, Fisher has made some developmental strides.  Every day, we see more lights turning on.  He is officially saying "ball,"  but that's about it.  We think he is trying to say cat, moon, and dada, but we're not sure yet.  He is very independent and plays very well on his own (how much of that is his personality vs. being second child????  an interesting question...)  While he is independent, he also loves some affection, always coming to check in.  He even started giving us hugs and saying, "ahhhhhh" when he does it----so cute!  Something else we taught him to do was blink on command.  It looks like he's being a huge flirt.  We'll have to get it on video.  Even better is that he loves to help clean up toys and throw things in the trash can for us.  Who needs a maid service?

Fisher has quite the sweet tooth (he must follow in his mama's footsteps!) and has crazy super sonic hearing when one of us opens a candy wrapper somewhere in the house.  He immediately starts signing, "more, more, more" and grunting, "ungh, ungh, ungh" until we give him some or make him cry by not giving it to him.  Lastly, he is starting to feed himself:

Playing "Ride the horsey, ride to town" on mommy's lap:

We visited a local "Apple Fest" where Fisher tried to eat his weight in apple fritters:

And Hayes got to go on a few rides:

"Whew, I gotta take a load off"

One of the boys' favorite activities is to play tickle monster on the couch.  Here are some great laughs by Fisher:

Adorable! Love the tickle monster. And as usual, I'm envious of your picture taking skillz :)
