Fisher is finally starting to wave and blow kisses. He also mimics some of our sounds, like if we groan or growl. But still no talking! Not even a measly little "mama" or "dada"----that's not asking for too much, is it????
Here is our alternate "16 Months" picture---compare it to the "Week 10" picture below it. Can you believe they are the same baby???
Fisher has begun walking more, though crawling is still his favorite mode of transportation. He walks for longer and longer lengths, but mostly when he's not thinking about it. Once he realizes he's walking, he drops to the ground and commences his pirate crawl.
In other developmental news, he is cutting his lower first molars---which makes 12 teeth total. Only 8 more baby teeth to go! Fisher is also starting to climb down the stairs and from things like the couch or chairs---he swings his legs over the edge and lowers slowly until his feet reach the floor.
Silly outfit:A few weeks ago, Hayes' preschool class had a singing program for the parents at the end of the day. The kids were supposed to show off all the songs they had learned during the summer---like "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" Hayes serenaded us with in a previous blog post. I made sure to cancel my last patient of the day so that I could hurry on over to the daycare and not miss the event of the summer. Let's just say that I hurried for no particular reason---the little stinker did not even sing the first word! He just sat happily smiling while every other kid sang his heart out. He was super happy to see me and Kyle, though! I guess that's what matters most, right? He is the one in blue on the far left:
Fisher has seen Hayes wearing goggles on his head and brought them over to me so that I could put them on him. He already thinks that everything his brother does is the coolest!
We met up with our neighbors Miss Liz and Hank (who is 2) and visited FarmFest this weekend (aimed at very young children) and went on a hayride:
Hayes always makes a beeline for any inflatables:
Having fun:
Face painting:
Last year at FarmFest, Fisher was a tiny baby and rode around in the stroller. This year, he rode in style in the big boy wagon!
Kyle taught Hayes a very important skill----tipping back the bag to get all the crumbs!
The fireman helped Hayes up into the passenger seat of the firetruck and even let him put the headset on!
We couldn't resist taking a pic of this---an interesting knitted cap that'll keep the beard warm, too:
And one more throwback picture of Fisher at FarmFest one year ago:
On what will probably be one of our last "pool days" of the summer:
Last but not least.......for Shaunna:

I thought for sure the hat with beard was for me, I want one, it was cute.
Bravo to you for keeping up with the blocks! Fisher is precious - I can't believe it's been a year since we all met up in CT! It would be so fun to get them all together again at this stage..
