Week 23

This week flew by (a recurring theme lately), marked by one major and one mini milestone. The major milestone was that Fisher rolled from front to back! The first few times he did it, he'd get this look on his face that was a mix of confusion ("how did I end up here?") and elation ("wow- that was cool!"). Here is a video as proof, though it is quite boring. (I always look like such a hideous idiot in videos!) He punctuates his achievement with a nice spit-up on the carpet:

The mini milestone was that Fisher sat in the exersaucer for the first time. He was well padded with blankets to help keep him upright. We are excited to have a baby repository that keeps Fisher upright (which in turn, keeps him happy) so that we can have dinners without one of us holding him in our laps (and occasionally dropping food on his head...).

Of course, Hayes can't be left out of the fun. He gets in the exersaucer at least once a day, which is more often than Fisher at this point!

PB and J face:

Kyle spent many, many hours in our backyard cleaning out this area. It was overgrown with volunteer maples and poison ivy, to name a few of the offensive plants. (Landscape fabric and mulch will hopefully keep the area from being overrun again.) It is a nicely shaded area where we plan to put up a hammock. The sad part of this is that Kyle has only cleaned out about a quarter of the whole overgrown area. Maybe next spring he'll get to it...

Last but not least, "fun with chalk:"

I. Love. These. Pictures. You inspire every week...I need to find a pumpkin patch!!

It looks like Fisher is standing. My twin J rolled over 2 months ago and hasn't done anything since. He squeals and grunts on his tummy.

G just lays there and sucks on his fist. I think that they're going to sit before they roll over!!

The boys are getting so BIG! Fisher's smiles are great (and I love that he sticks out his tongue)! Tell Hayes that Kellen said his boots are super cool. Can't wait to see you guys at Christmas!
