This week, we bought a new camera (after 4 trips to Best Buy and countless hours spent reading online reviews). It's quite a bit fancier than our old one and will hopefully be up to the task of capturing Hayes' childhood. I think the camera will only be limited by the operator (me) and my lack of ability in the photography department. In the 24 hours we've owned the camera, I've been unable to take a bad picture, so that is a good sign.
Hayes is slowly starting to grow some of his hair back.... (Maybe in another few months, he'll have enough to blend in with his patch of brown hair at the back of his head, his "mullet.") He's been having some really good days with his nanny, Laura, while we're away at work. He's starting to get bored with things, though, like sitting on our laps while we eat dinner. He'd much rather roughhouse with us on the bed or be tickled. We've also found that he really likes the Baby Bjorn carrier now that he is allowed to face outward and can take things in. He is content in the carrier for an hour or more at a time.
Here are a few pics with the new camera:
And a video of Hayes in his bath---he has learned to splash! I fear that our days of staying dry during his baths are numbered. Listen for the grunt at the end of the video---it's cute! And yes, we're trying to keep him covered because of all the nutcases roaming the internet.

I wish Kellen enjoyed his bath time half as much as Hayes does. He screams like he's being tortured the entire time. Hope he outgrows it. I can't believe your little man is almost 4 months old. We can't wait to meet him!
Hey...Mom...Dad,
Are you sure this how Phelps started his "golden" career?
