Week 10

In this week's photo, Kyle placed Hayes on my pillow. I had left for work and Kyle said that Hayes needed to smell his mom. It was either the pillow or let him huff some maple syrup. (Yes, I still smell like syrup due to an herb I'm taking for milk production. There could be a worse perfume...)

Week 10 has been pretty uneventful. I'm back to work, Hayes is staying with his nanny, and Kyle was out of town for a few days. Hayes behaved himself for me while Kyle was gone, which I had been pretty nervous about. Although I'm sure he was sad that his dad was not home, Hayes sure did start breaking out the smiles left and right. He's been very "smiley." He has even started to make a little giggle. The only problem is that I have a hard time catching the full smiles on camera---my slow flashing camera only gets me the tail end of the grins. (Now I understand why my friend Anna bought a fancy camera!) Hayes also has been flexing his leg muscles and likes to "stand" on our stomachs and hold his head up for a while. I feel like I'm watching him develop new skills every day, which is really incredible.
