22 Months

Campbell is a stubborn little thing but also such a sweetheart.  One day, she had a boo boo and pointed it out to me so I could kiss it.  When I did, she said, "all better!"  That was one of the first things she said as a two word phrase. Now, she kisses any boo boo she sees or anyone who is crying and says, "all better." Her vocabulary is getting better and better and she adds new words every day.  She is not afraid to try any word we say and laughs if we chuckle at the way it comes out.  The work I love to hear her say is "button," though it comes out "butt-it."  I go out of my way to point them out so I can hear her say it!  Lastly, she is wicked smart (and I'm totally not biased...).  She sees and figures out how to get into things.  One day she was trying unsuccessfully to reach one of Fisher's toys on the tv stand.  Her tippytoes were just not doing the trick.  So she came over to where I was sitting, insisted that I get up off the floor, pulled me over toward the tv stand, and patted the floor in front of it.  When I complied and sat down, she proceeded to stand on my leg to try to reach the toy.  Unfortunately for her, Fisher had been watching this entire charade and wordlessly got off the couch, moved the toy way out of reach, and sat back down, all before she had me in position.  Can't blame a girl for trying!

Where is my little one? He looks more and more like a BOY!  It makes my heart swell with pride but sad at the same time to see my sweet baby boy grow up.  He is such a joy and surprises us with the things that come out of his mouth.  When he was at my office having his teeth cleaned my my hygienist, she counted some of his freckles.  Fisher than asked Ms. Pat (who is in her 60's) if she had any freckles.  She told him to look and see if she had any, to which he replied, "no, you just have lots of cracks." Good thing Pat has grandkids and a sense of humor!
One night at bedtime, Fisher asked me out of the blue, "Mommy, who are gonna be my kids?"  I told him that I didn't know, that it would be a surprise.  He decided that "Campbell will be my kids."

I think they were watching the ice cream truck go by...
Hayes crossed a milestone in many a young boy's life:  he started t-ball this month!  We had practiced throwing, catching, and hitting, but had not really taught him anything about the game itself.  At the first practice, he was standing on first base and when told to run to third, he started running DIRECTLY to third!  We have since gone over the finer points of the game, one of which is running the bases in order.  Here he is at his first practice ever:
I am a sponsor of our town's Little League and so got a sign hung at the baseball field with my new logo:
Here is Hayes at his first "game" playing 2nd base:
 After his hit:
 On first:
With teammate and best bud TJ:
Silly goose stole Hayes' new pajamas and put them on all by herself---you can't tell in this pic, but she has both legs through the same side of the shorts.  She was waddling around the house for a while:
Supporting Wisconsin in the Final Four:
When it was quiet upstairs one day, I ventured upstairs thinking that the boys must have been up to no good.  I found Hayes reading to his younger brother on his top bunk.  Isn't this one of the sweetest things ever?  Hayes is reading so well; his progress has been amazing this year!
Fisher and Campbell like to play in her crib.  They jump up and down like crazy and then fall over giggling:
Fisher went to Raegan's 4th birthday party at Build-A-Bear.  He had a great time!
 Filling up "Pup Pup:"
 Putting his heart inside:
What fun they all had!  And what a great idea for a party venue...  hmmmm, tuck that away for Campbell in the future.
Mama must have lost her marbles!  (I actually paid 75 cents for him to ride this in the mall---I must be going soft in my old age...)
Hayes has had loose upper front teeth for MONTHS and they were finally loose enough to come out. He reminded me to bring my tools home from work and let me take out one on a Friday...
...and the other on Sunday:
Growling like a tiger:

First ice cream of the spring:

We went Letterboxing with friends one lovely Sunday.  Campbell rode in style for part of the trek:
We took a break for some nourishment:
 We found one!
What a great afternoon!  I think it makes it so much sweeter after having a hard, long winter this year.
Need I say more?
Pretty girl:
Watching the Wild Kratts while Kyle makes dinner:
We dyed eggs for Easter this year, the first time we've ever done it with the kids (shame on us!):
Easter morning brought baskets filled with goodies (Legos for the boys, of course):
And a few girly things for Campbell:
It is usually too cold in CT for the Easter Bunny to hide eggs outside on Easter morning, so he usually leaves eggs hidden inside the house.  Here is Captain America, uh, I mean, Fisher, showing off a pink egg that he found:
Hayes' eggs were blue:
And Campbell's were yellow. By the way, she's been continuing to use the potty and we just got lazy here and didn't put her jammies back on----goes against my "redneck baby" photo policy of not taking them...  :)

Surprisingly, the Easter Bunny did actually hide the dyed eggs outside.  We found those a little later in the morning once it had warmed up nicely:

The littlest stinker was raiding her brother's basket:

We had such a wonderful day.  We hid and re-hid and re-hid the eggs over and over again.  When the boys hid them for us, they were so eager for us to find them that they would stand next to each egg and jump up and down or point right to them or even find them for us!  They were so much fun to watch.  Can it get any better than this?
