New Hampshire Trip

We took a weekend trip up to NH in mid October.  It was nice to get away, though our idea of rest and relaxation has changed drastically as our number of children has increased.  We had a great time exploring the lake condo community.
Smallest tugboat ever!

Fisher was showing Campbell how to tap her feet:
They were both thrilled!
There was a Fall Festival at the Community Center where the kids made apple dumplings, chocolate dipped pretzels, and pinecone art.  They also got their faces painted and had a great time, despite the serious faces in the picture.
Climbing the big rock:
Triumphant!

We visited Billings Farm in Vermont on our way home.  It is a working farm and museum with historic demonstrations and buildings from 1890.  It was in beautiful country.
The farm was having a fall festival with games and activities for the kids.  Here are the boys playing with toys that would have been used in 1890:
Hayes got to help turn the cider press:
And he bobbed for apples, but in a different way than we're used to.
Hanging out after the pumpkin ice cream making demonstration:
Of course Campbell loved it too!
What a fun weekend trip!  We'll definitely be going up that way again!
