Week 28

We were pretty busy this week.  We traveled back home to CT.  The kids all did really well in the car for the drive down and back.  When the boys would get a little fidgety, a video would do the trick to settle them down---thank goodness for portable DVD players!  They sure made our trip easier! We did have a complaint from Fisher on the 2nd day of travel down to Charleston when he said, "Mommy, my bonkey (his little butt) hurts!"  Poor kiddo had been in the car for the better part of two days; of course his butt hurt!  Otherwise, we had some resistance to settling down for the night in the hotels we stayed in, but for the most part, the kids all did a lot better than I thought they would.  Anyways, these pics are from the week, though they are a little out of order.  Here is the donut maker I got from Betty and Butch:
It snowed about 13 inches total while we were gone.  On New Year's Day, we headed over to our neighbor's yard to sled down their "hill:"

Campbell and Fisher supported the Gamecocks in the Outback Bowl with the hats Aunt Stephanie picked out:
This picture is a few weeks old, but I had to include it.  Fisher has been refusing to wear his fleece footie pajamas at night.  One night, we made him wear them.  He, however, removed them during the night and slept in his diaper (yes, covered with underwear) in the middle of winter.  This is what Kyle found the next morning when he went to wake Fisher up.  Needless to say, we don't force him to wear the footie pj's anymore.  We don't want him to freeze his little butt off!
On the way home from SC, we spent the night in Hershey, PA.  We made a trip to Chocolate World before finishing up the trip home.  We got to make our own chocolate bars!  Here is what we had to wear:
Campbell and I shared an apron:
Fisher has started the lovely common childhood trick of the fake cheesy smile that looks more like a grimace. On a cuter note, he has started pronouncing the "B" in Campbell's name.  So, she is now  occasionally "Baby Campbell," and not "Baby Camel" as often!
Hayes watching his candy bar go down the line:
We got to choose our own mix-ins.  We entered what we wanted in a computer and then the mix-ins were dispensed as the chocolate mold traveled down the line:
Fisher and his finisher chocolate bar:
Here is Campbell on the ride home posing with her new teddy bear.  She loves cuddling and hugging it!
The boys had their first Cracker Barrel experience on the drive home, too:
Fisher making himself right at home in the hotel:
At home, playing with their new bath paints that Aunt Stephanie, Uncle Derek, Dailyn and Lawson gave them:
Whew, OK that's it until next week.  I am finally caught up!
