My handsome boys on Easter:
We had our Connecticut style Easter egg hunt today---meaning an inside hunt due to the 35 degree morning:
Dentist Mama was super stingy with the candy this year---each of the 26 eggs hidden had only one peanut butter M&M in it. And once Fisher started insisting on each egg being opened and the candy eaten right away, we removed the rest of the candy from the eggs that were still hidden. Little guy does not need 13 pieces of candy before breakfast!!! Poor thing looked so disappointed when he'd bring us a new egg he'd found for us to open only to see nothing inside.
Hayes helped Fisher find the last few eggs:
Step Two of "Project Big Boy Room" involved painting the walls (step one was buying the furniture and bedding). After nap and taking off his Easter clothes, Hayes got to help paint, redneck style. More pics to come after the room is finished.
Our first and only daffodil of the spring:
Fisher insisted on getting into the baby swing a few times. Maybe he was reminiscing about all the quality time he spent in it as a baby. The other day, Fisher woke up with terrible bed head. There was no way I was going to be able to get it to lay down, so up it all went! He was the lady-killer in his class that day!
Fisher was invited to his first birthday party for a friend in his class that turned 2. Talk about toddler chaos! They all had lots of fun.
Fisher and his little buddy, Evan (Evan's mom is Fisher's teacher at daycare, Ms. Christine):
There was a mini carousel at the party venue, which the kids all enjoyed:
Fisher has turned in to such a little ham. He walks around the house just so full of himself, chattering and laughing. He walks with a little swagger, like he's dancing to his own beat. He is almost saying sentences and says or repeats several word phrases: "ketchup right here" or "up please, mama."
Here is the little guy hamming it up on a bouncy toy at the birthday party:
