This month, we have been truly enjoying our New England summer.  It's cool and breezy in the shade, the water in the lakes is cool, and the vegetable garden is thriving (until the groundhogs find it...)  We have been spending lots of time outside and are really starting to like living in Connecticut (love would be much too strong a word at this point).  It's a good thing, too, since this is where we've decided to stay.  In fact, I bought a dental practice from a retiring dentist, so now we're really stuck!!!  It's been pretty crazy with all the administrative duties that come with buying a practice, all the while seeing a full load of patients.  It is certainly an adventure.  I'll share more about it in the future.

Fisher is cutting his top two first molars, which we think caused a nice 102 degree fever for a couple days.  Fisher has had MANY more fevers than Hayes ever had.  We joke that he gets one for a couple days every two weeks or so.  That means he's due for another any day now...

In other developmental news, Fisher starting walking!!!  The "pirate crawl" is still his mode of transportaion of choice, but he is walking up to 8 steps at a time.  See the bottom of the post for a short video.  Besides walking, the little turkey is into everything.  By the time he was done with the tupperware, there were none left in the cabinet!

Hanging around outside:

Thrilled with his new hat:
Out blueberry picking---so we could make blueberry jam!
Fisher was content as long as Kyle kept a steady stream of blueberries passed back to him:
Pick one, eat one, pick one, eat one...
Who needs a walker when you have a storage bin?
Hayes has really been enjoying hitting off his new tee.  He mostly hits right-handed, but switches it up now and then.  Kyle is tempted to turn him into a switch-hitter! (by the way, we still don't know whether he is right or left-handed because he eats/writes/draws with both)

He's actually not bad for a 3 year old!

The poor kiddo was tuckered out after playing all day outside and trying to skip his nap.  He is still taking one just about every day, though.  I am hoping he'll keep napping until he is 10 or so...
Mismatch day at school:
Hayes likes to sneak out of his room at night and sit at the top of the stairs.  We went up one night to find him sacked out among the items piled up for our garage sale:
Perfect fit:
Being silly:

Isn't he beautiful?
Yum!

Though they mostly still just fight over toys, they have actually started playing together sometimes:
Redneck uniforms!
Anya just might still outweigh our little peanut!
Fisher LOVES cherry tomatoes and just about hurls himself out of our arms whenever we go near the garden so that he can have some.  He likes to keep one in his mouth for a while until he accidentally bites into it and must chew and finish it.  He's had one in his mouth for a couple hours before---and the only way we knew he had it in there was the sly, tight-lipped smile he gave us.  Here he is chillin' in his ride with a tomato in his mouth:
Without further ado, here is Fisher walking (wobbling)!

Love this update! Hayes is quite the hitter and Fisher looks like he's getting the hang of the walking thing. Their haircuts are great, too. How do you get the videos to post? I don't have the video icon anymore and have to do it through you tube.

Alison! Fisher is so freaking adorable it's not funny. Congrats on him walking!!! He's seriously the best dressed baby. All my boys seem to wear is shorts and t-shirts and I'm getting tired of it! Did you cut his hair yourself? I'm trying to figure out what to do with the boys' hair!

Been thinking... There are man caves and the first pic of Fisher shows us a baby/toddler cave. At least it has been for H. & F.
