This morning, we took Hayes in for surgery (a mini surgery---no big deal). After a little delay and a nap in the pre-op area, Hayes was taken to the Operating Room and put to sleep. Surgery went well and he was in the recovery room in about half an hour. We brought him home with the instructions to keep him quiet and not let him be too active. True to form, he raised hell when Kyle tried to keep him still. He is now running laps around the kitchen and living room. So much for keeping him quiet and inactive...
Hayes is doing quite well so far and we'll keep you posted. Thank you to our families for your thoughts and calls!

- I am married to my college sweetheart, Kyle, who is a chemist and self-professed dork. I am a dentist in a practice in Connecticut. We added our little man Hayes to the world on March 25th,2008 and twins on May 7th, 2010. We lost our precious daughter Marin two weeks after she was born. Her twin, Fisher, is thriving and is a typical 2 year old boy. Our latest addition is a precious baby girl born on June 22, 2012. We love our children dearly and are completely enamored with them. We also have three furry, four-legged kids (see below). We both grew up and went to school in SC, then lived in Kansas for a few years (GO Jayhawks!). We moved to CT for Kyle to work on faculty at UConn and are settling in to family life in a wonderful neighborhood.

Alison- I am so glad he did ok. I bought him some post op presents today! I will get them in the mail soon!
I am so glad he is going okay...and I can just picture him running laps when he is suppose to be resting. Silly boy!
