We took a trip to the Smoke Mountains in Tennessee in early June. We met with my entire family--brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and my parents. What a great week it was, though it was sandwiched by two vomiting children (one on the way down, one on the way back up) and peppered with a little bedbug incident in the middle. We truly enjoyed getting to spend time with our crazy clan. There were 18 of us, including 9 children, 7 of whom were 6 and under. Here are the youngest of the bunch-- Emerson and Campbell, both 2:

The best part of the week was getting to spend time with Stephanie, who was recovering really well from her surgery but had had her chemo stent placed a few days before our trip. She rallied and I thing we all kept each others' minds off things as much as possible for a few days.
Doesn't this look like a painting?
