M-Day

We "celebrate" in some way every May 22nd, the day we lost our precious daughter.  Of course, we remember her every. single. day.--- in the sunrise or sunset (the boys say that she painted the sky for us), the blue heron flying overhead, the sweet pink blooms of her cherry tree or rose bush.  But May 22nd is our special family day to truly celebrate her short little life.
On this year's M-Day, we took the kids to Build-a-Bear to make their own bears (Campbell made a bunny):

They each took two hearts to put inside their bears--- one for themselves and one for her.  Here they are putting lots of smiles into their hearts....
... and now lots of love and warmth.  Kyle and I encourage the kids to remember their sister, but they were so young.... now they have something tangible.
I wish I had something tangible...  But I must be content in the beautiful sunsets that she paints for me.
