Week 11

This week's picture shows only a half smile.  When this baby smiles big, it lights up and transforms her whole face.  Kyle and I both had the exact same thought---Campbell has already smiled more in her 11 weeks with us than Fisher did in his whole first year of life!  Fisher was always our serious little fella, though lately he's taken such a goofy turn.  But our Campbell really lets us know when she's happy!  I'll try to get some huge smiles on video for next week.

Lazy Sunday morning, hanging with Daddy:
We finally got the rocket ship cart at the grocery store!
For Labor Day, we took a trip down to "The Shore" (which my brother informs me is a very New Englandy thing to do).  We followed some friends down to Hammonesset Beach State Park, which is on Long Island Sound, and had the most perfect beach day ever----75 degrees, breezy, and not a cloud in sight.  The sand was like brown sugar---big particles and very packable.  We all had a wonderful time!

Kyle guarding a sleeping Campbell from curious 2 and 4 year old pokes and prods:
Hayes buried next to his best bud, TJ:
We got a package in the mail yesterday from our friends, Kevin and Becky.  They sent several lovely gifts for Campbell, but the favorite as far as the boys were concerned were the baby legs/leg warmers:

These were some very high-precision karate/spiderman moves:
Hayes had his first day of soccer today.  One of the girls from his class at school is on his team.  There are 10 teams of 8 kids---it was like herding cats trying to get all the kids organized into their teams.

Hayes said the cutest thing ever when he and I were first walking onto the field.  He asked, "Is Daddy going to watch me on TV?"  Awww, poor kid is used to seeing Olympic soccer on TV.  I said, "No buddy, they only put the really great players on TV."  To that he replied, "But I'm really good when I play at home."  How can you argue with that?
