Lake Weekend

A couple weekends ago, we headed up to New Hampshire to visit our friends, Patty and Brad, and their kids, Berkley and Geneva. (I was in residency with Patty in Madison, WI a few years ago.) Patty and Brad own a lakeside condo in Grantham, NH, where they lived for a few years while Brad completed part of his pshychiatry residency. They have since moved back to their home state of Wisconsin but kept their condo for vacations. We had not seen them for almost two years, and had never met their kids. We got a glimpse of what it would be like to have two young children. We can only hope that we would be able to handle it with as much skill and patience as Patty and Brad if we were to have another child. We had a great time catching up, wrangling the kids, playing The Train Game (they introduced us to the game), going for walks, and lounging in the lake.

Look at Hayes and Berkley peeking around their dads to see each other!

Geneva is the most easy-going little baby!

Berkley LOVES to smile for pictures!

Hayes borrowed Berkley's hat to play in---he looks like such a big boy!

Thank you---Patty, Brad, Berkley and Geneva---for a wonderful weekend getaway! We had a great time and hope two more years do not pass before we see you again!
